Bio

Joel Schwartz is an ASCAP and SOCAN award-winning composer, producer, and guitarist from Canada, known for his work on television shows like RIDE, SULLIVAN’S CROSSING, and PARIS PARIS.

His guitar-driven scores are distinguished by a unique rootsy sound, frequent use of live instruments, and compelling melodies, which have consistently enhanced the emotional depth and storytelling of the shows he’s worked on.

Joel began his career as a session player, touring internationally with artists like Birds of Chicago, Amelia Curran, Matthew and Jill Barber, Great Lake Swimmers, Royal Wood, and many others. This experience also led him to music production, where his work has garnered millions of streams and earned awards and nominations from the Junos, Canadian Folk Music Awards, Maple Blues Awards, Blues and Roots Radio Awards, among others.

A collaborator at heart, Joel prioritizes communication and good humor in creative, team-based projects. Through his unique ability to infuse storytelling into music, Joel’s scores create a lasting emotional connection with audiences, elevating the impact of every scene.
